Dear Visitor, Wherever you are in the world, Welcome to Around The World forum.

Many people may be surprised that Muslims love Mary (peace be upon her), the mother of Jesus (peace be upon him). In the Quran, no woman is given more attention than Mary(peace be upon her).

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'None but a noble man treats women in an honorable manner, and none but an ignoble treats women disgracefully. ' (Sunan At-Tirmidhî)

Anti-whaling ship heading for Melbourne

29th January,2008

Sea Shepherd anti-whaling activists in the Southern Ocean hope to continue their protest after refuelling in Melbourne.

The hardline activist group is also planning new tactics they say will allow them to stop the Japanese taking any whales at all during next season's hunt.

Sea Shepherd has been protesting against Japanese whalers since December 5, although engine trouble forced them to return to Melbourne on Christmas Eve for about one week.

Sea Shepherd founder Paul Watson said by satellite phone from the Southern Ocean that he would head his ship, the Steve Irwin, back to Melbourne on Wednesday as it was dangerously low on fuel.

He expected to arrive in port during the weekend but said he wanted to raise funds to buy more fuel and head back to sea to continue tailing the Japanese fleet.
